We were so excited when a reader passed along the 411 of this darling invitation company...Blue Magpie. Like their name, Blue Magpie has such fun and unique handmade wedding invitations with unique fabrics and styles and to top it off, they are also an eco-friendly company...
And what {you might wonder} is a Blue Magpie? According to Jeannine, the founder of the company it's based on Chinese folklore:
"The magpie is a bird that holds a special place in Chinese folklore. It is said that on one day out of the year—Chinese Valentine’s Day—flocks of magpies build a bridge across the sky, allowing a heavenly maiden to be reunited with her beloved husband who had been banished to a faraway star."
