So excited for the fall top ten! I am planning an October 2009 wedding and need lots of ideas!

I am a huge fan of school-themed events...so charming!

Kristina McLean

I love the idea of a photo "yearbook"!

I love the real wedding she linked to. Very fun! I think my favorite part of the inspiration board is the chalk board. Love it.

Wow, as a teacher, I LOVE the idea of including these details at my wedding. I especially love all the little things that tied he reception into the theme!

I like the idea of "Back to School" theme since I'm studying to be an elementary school teacher and will be starting to work around the time of our wedding.

I love the back to school wedding! My boyfriend and I met in our last semester in college so I have been filing this idea away in case I need it soon ;)

I love that wedding. If only I met my fiance in school, but alas we met after...

that chalkboard in the entry is adorable

lucky designs

I love the desk photo.

Kate@ Kids and Cocktails

I love old school desks. Ah ruled notebook paper and #2 pencils. Love it.

kari michelle

I love the "bake sale" idea. What a great way to get your guests involved, too! Grandma's cookies, best friend's rice krispy treats, etc...!

Erica Blonde

My parents keep jokingly suggesting that we incorporate their school bus into the wedding - but their bus is used to transport animals for the farm! Yikes!

Emily A

I've seen Minhee and Truman's wedding a few times now, but it never gets old!

I love the big yellow school bus - super cute!

back to school
this is my dream wedding
soo simple

I have really been looking for something interesting to use for the guest book and this yearbook style one is so neat. Should I change my whole theme just to use this? Ack?

Since I'm a teacher, I loved the back to school board!

Jennifer Gaskin

the old fashioned photo booth pictures are adorable. i've seen them as save the dates also. excited to see the rest of the countdown!

Rebecca Gomes

the vintage desk is awesome! if a backdrop were added it make for an awesome prop in a impromptu photo spot!

I love the chalkboard!

Fun to follow Kathryn over here!

I just adore Kathryn's work, and since my wedding is in the fall of 2009 I am so excited for these inspiring posts this week! My dad and stepmom had their wedding in a schoolhouse, so that theme has already been covered in my family :-) But I love Kathryn's take on it. Just fab.

I love the guest "yearbook" so much fun!

This is a good way to use the standard yellow school buses for guest transport without them looking out of place :)

I love the idea of grade school pictures.

Thanks for all of the fun comments :)

Amy - I think you can certainly use the yearbook guest book at your wedding regardless of it you have a "back to school" theme or not. Little touches like this are unexpected and so much fun...you certainly don't have to be theme-y to do this!

I love the books wrapped in ribbon!

You could do a 'kid's table' with stuff from school days. Crayons, stickers, Name cards (like you have on your desk the first day of school), stamps. And bonus, at this time of year all the school stuff would be on sale. At target's "one spot" they have all of that kind of stuff for $1.

the ring book is fabulous

the ring book is so cute

sorry for the duplicate comments :)

I've seen boards of real weddings using a chalkboard, desk, and other school items as their theme. Great idea!

Bliss Weddings Market

I love the stationery! So clever!

I love the chalkboards. Great way to have all the signage you might need and yet have it all be reusable.

I'm planning a fall wedding for next October and love seeing all the different ideas! It makes planning a lot easier!

Including items for a "back to school" theme is such a great idea, and could be easily incorporated into a number of wedding themes! I love it!

Super cute ideas here!
