fall wedding favorite no. {8}: fall leaves

Leaves changing color and falling off the tree are so quintessentially autumnal, that it's hard to imagine a fall wedding without incorporating them in some form or another. You might not go jumping into piles of them in your wedding dress (or you might!), but how about a boutonniere or napkin ring?

Ooh I was hoping for leaves! :-) They are definitely quintessentially fall, that's for sure. I absolutely love the boutonniere. Gorgeous!

I love leaves! We're doing a (green) oak leaf theme, since we fell in love under an oak!

Those are soooo pretty! I love fall color!

I love the sprays of Japanese maple leaves on that last cake! And I like the bottom bouquet of leaves, too. I'd add some clusters of acorns to it, but that's all I'd change!

wow, i love the ribbons hanging from the trees in the photo from the inspiration board - they look beautiful. also love the idea of the leaf in the boutineer.

I absolutely adore the leaf boutonniere; it is so chic! That maple sugar candy looks absolutely fantastic! Yum! Fantastic Post!

mmmmm Maple Candy - what a great favor idea!

I love this one with the colors and the motif. the candy looks absolutely delicious

Okay, here is the actual theme of my fall wedding! I love the look of fall colored leaves, such a classic look, I luv it!

I am obsessed with the cake! I am getting married in the fall and I really didn't want anything too "fall" but I LOVE the cake!!

Gorgeous! Makes me want to jump in a big pile of leaves and then drink some apple cider to warm up.

Gorgeous! I love fall so much.

I love the single red leaf bout!! Its a bright dash of color without being girly! And definitely not something we've seen a million times before.

Fall leaves scattered down the aisle? What a perfect touch. They're free, too!

ohhh the leaves are my favorite...we are using fall leaves throughout our wedding, they will be interwined on tables and around pillars. Also, we have two 7ft trees hung with votive candles that will form an arch for our ceremony.

I'm so glad you're doing this series because I'm getting married in November. We're finalizing the decor right now so this is very helpful!

Love the cake! Simple, but still very elegant.

I love the fall leaf motif! We are using the fall leaves from paper source for our place cards in our November wedding. Keep the beautiful ideas coming!

Why not jump into leaves!? Some shots of the bride and groom jumping in them would be cute

I love the rich warm hues of a fall wedding. And all the pumpkins!

I thought I would want just a plain white cake with real flowers as the topper, but now I am reconsidering after seeing that awesome cake with the brown ribbon edge and leaves!! I'm getting married outside in front of trees, and the ribbons hanging from the trees is a pretty idea!

Leaves are such beautiful additions, bringing nature in, no matter what season or color.

    so beauitful
leaves in a jar is an excellent table feature
    love your blog
    keep them coming

I love your leaf board! Maple leaf candy is delish!

If we have a day after session I would loooove to do a 'jumping in the leaves' shot.
