Vote for Ike

We are so excited to share this birthday party! We gave a sneak peek at the birthday invitations a few weeks ago here. Ike is the precious son of the talented Suann from Simplesong Design and Ritzy Bee Events was honored to help him celebrate his 3rd birthday party. With an appropriately themed "I Like Ike" birthday party...the campaign + patriotic theme with lots of red, white + blue...was pure inspiration and we had so much fun with all of the details! The fun day was captured by our dear friend + amazing photographer Kate Headley...

 

The amazing cake was designed by the fabulous Kelly from Design Cuisine and their talented chef's made it taste as delicious as it looked!

 

All of the adorable letterpress paper goods, bags, tags and printed details were created by Simplesong Design and tied together so perfectly! The campaign leaders {parents + adults} enjoyed a delicious brown boxed lunch and the little voters enjoyed star shaped sandwiches, veggies + dip and of course an Ike "button" sugar cookie from Design Cuisine. 

 

 

 

Kate Headley created an adorable mini photo booth for party goers to enjoy posing...

We had a fun wedding this past weekend in a barn located on a beautiful vineyard in the countryside of Virginia. It reminded us how utterly perfect these settings can be for a rustic fall wedding. We love this board that shows how gorgeous these places can be...

vintage wednesdays

We love adding just a touch of vintage decor to a tablescape at a wedding! Consider using an assortment of old tins to hold flowers versus the more typical glass squares or cylinders. You instantly get something lovely and unique! Start collecting tins early to find a variety and be sure to have your florist line them with another container since many have rusted spots that will leak.

We get a lot of questions on where to buy things we've featured on Vintage Wednesdays...like antique keys and other places. One online shop we LOVE to browse around at is Three Potato Four. They sell new + old things that make great wedding/decor props. Here are some vintage-y things we are loving currently in their shop and some ideas on how you can use these items...
