Inspiration can come from many places - a favorite color or season, an inspiring textile pattern, an old painting, a favorite pastime...the possibilities are endless.
Start by looking around at things that inspire you and that weave a personal touch into your wedding story. Try creating an inspiration board with pictures you have pulled from magazines, online and other books. Building this “collage” of images will help depict your wedding vision and create a theme that can be appropriately carried through. Decide what kind of feeling you want to create first - and then everything from invitations to favors will be much easier to select.
It really is all in the details. Repeating your color scheme and overall theme with some subtlety in all the elements of your wedding is key for creating a pulled together look.
One of our favorite spots for inspiration boards is at the Snippet & Ink blog...we honestly don't know how they do it...it's total inspirational bliss! Here are just a few of our favorite boards from the talented Kathryn:
Board #142: 1,001 Paper Cranes - photo credits
Board #19: Mariam's San Francisco Board (photo credits)
Board #135: Felicidades! (photo credits)
I adore Kathryn's blog too. It is one of my favorites. I cannot believe she builds those inspiration boards everyday....
