We are so delighted about today's spotlight segment! As mentioned when we launched {ritzy bee} we will be featuring other wonderful blogs and the talented bloggers behind them! This is one of our favorite daily reads and inspiring places that we previously mentioned a few weeks back in our feature on wedding style inspiration. Please welcome the lovely Kathryn, creator and wedding inspiration board guru, of Snippet & Ink to the {ritzy bee} spotlight!
We said it before but we really do not know how Kathryn does it!! She creates and posts a new wedding inspiration board DAILY on Snippet & Ink...and they just keep getting better. Here are a few recent boards...eye candy is an understatement! (click images to enlarge)
We recently chatted with Kathryn about her blog and what inspires her:
{rb} What inspired you to start Snippet & Ink and can you tell us a little about the name?
K: Snippet & Ink started just for fun! After seeing inspiration boards on some other blogs, I thought I'd try my hand at a few, and then a few turned into ten, and then I thought it would be fun to share them and a blog seemed like a good place to do that. The name Snippet & Ink just came from some brainstorming, and it represents the two main parts of the blog: little clips of images that make up an inspiration board and the words that go along with each post. You know, "snippets" and "ink."
{rb} We absolutely love your wedding inspiration boards...right down to the fun titles you give each one. How do you start with assembling a board?
K: It really depends on the board. Many of them start with a single image, and just grow out of the colors and style there, while others are inspired by the request of a real bride, using her location and color scheme.
{rb} What advice would you give a bride-to-be that wants to try to design her own inspiration board to find a style for her wedding?
K: Anytime you see something you like, save it, even if it isn't wedding related. When you're ready to pull an inspiration board together, look at all of your saved images together and see if a focused style emerges. Once you've done that, you can start to look for things that more specifically fit the look and feel of your wedding.
{rb} This is probably a tough one but...what are your top 3 favorite boards and why?
K: Oh wow. One of the great things about Snippet & Ink is that I don't have to pick just one wedding! My favorites tend to change based on my mood, which is probably why my favorites are the ones I've created most recently. Right now I especially like...
Board #155 Versailles Garden Party
Board #131 Ariella-Inspired, Part Three
K:...it's really tough to pick just three!
{rb} We'd love to know a little bit about you. When you aren't designing or blogging, what do you love to do for fun?
K: I love cooking and baking, and spending time with the people who I love and who make me laugh. One of my favorite things to do is to make CDs and care packages for my sisters and friends who live far away.
Thank you so much Kathryn for visiting {ritzy bee} and for all your wonderful boards! We know how much time it must take to create your boards and are envious at how effortless you make it seem...we can't wait to see what you come up with next on Snippet & Ink!
Until then...here are a few more to enjoy...

There is so much to love about these inspiration boards. My absolute favorites are #131 and #155. There is something so soft about the pale pink. Very romantic. On the other hand I like the edge created with bright yellow and dark black. Thank you for all of your post.
