Wedding season officially kicked off for us this past weekend! During the planning process our bride and groom who just tied the knot pointed out how challenging it was to select music for their first dance, especially because they did not have that {our song} feeling about any of their favorite tunes...something we find quite common with couples!
We decided to compile a few of our favorite first dance song recommendations...perfect for your first moment together...and not the typical songs you might hear at other weddings...enjoy!
I just love Patty Griffin's song--great choice!
We're thinking about Bruce Springsteen's "If I Should Fall Behind" too.

Definitely get onto iTunes and listen to Keb Mo. He has two great songs that I think are totally wedding worthy. One is called "I'll be your water" and the other is "Life is Beautiful". They're fabulous! Also, Into the Mystic by Van Morrison is another I've heard before and thought very classic without being popular.

Heavenly day gets me teary eyed everytime! My other top contenders: true companion by Marc Cohen, Can't get enough of your love by Barry White and take my breath away by Berlin. It's definitely hard when you don't already have "your song".

Another great song that needs to be added to the playlist is "My Little Boy" by Tough and Linville. It's a great song song for the mother/son dance. Definitely download it off iTunes.
