Spotlight on: {the amazing} Elizabeth Messina

Elizabeth Messina needs absolutely no introduction...especially to all of us in the wedding blogging world. There is good reason for why she is so sought after...she is beautiful, inspiring and her photography is absolutely breathtaking & brilliant!

We were so excited when we asked for her to talk to us a little bit and share images through her eyes of the {little details} that make weddings so magical...

{rb} Tell us a little about yourself & your background

{em} I fell in love with photography when I was a little girl....I started taking it seriously when I went to school at the San Francisco Art Institute. I worked as a photojournalist for several years....and when a friend asked me to photograph her wedding, I began down the path that I am on today. I still have a deep love for photography....photos have the ability to transcend words and touch people in a special way!

{rb} Your work is truly an inspiration but we would like to know who/what inspires you?

{em} I am inspired by so many things....little moments...a cup of tea.....the sound of my children laughing....I think its the details in life that are so wonderful....that is why the details at a wedding are an important part of telling a couple's unique story...

{rb} Describe your style for us in 3 words

{em} intimate ..... evocative ...... artistic

{rb} What is the most important piece of advice you can give couples about working with a wedding photographer?

{em} Look at as many images as you can...and trust your instincts....its important to feel comfortable with your photographer....if you love their images and feel at ease around them....that is the wedding photographer for you!

{rb} When you aren't busy working, what do you love to do?

{em} I love to cook....and to spend time with my family...
