We are excited to feature the fabulous designs of one of our favorite design companies, Hello!Lucky! The wonderful founders of the company, Sabrina and Eunice, are both so talented and are extremely well respected in the world of letterpress.
They shared with us some of their popular and new designs and gave so much great detail about the inspiration behind their work...
Cherry Blossom - this was the invitation that started it all - created in 2005 for Shana Faust, now a deputy Style Editor at Martha Stewart Weddings. A couple of tears are attached, styled by Rebecca Thuss.
French Deco - based on a French perfume bottle label, this is one of our favorite designs!
Medjool - this colorway was designed for a wedding at the gorgeous Morroccan-themed Hotel Figueroa in LA
Naturalist - we originally designed this for our cousin's wine country wedding. The tree reminded us of those gorgeous old California oaks, and the two swallows symbolize the couple.
Vintage Rose - we created this design for our Marry Me! line, which we introduced in May. This is a lower-priced letterpress line that uses simpler designs than our regular collection. The designs ship in just 10 business days, which is pretty fast for letterpress!
Some of Hello!Lucky's more recent designs, shown below, are now offered in both letterpress AND flat printing! For more details readers can call 415-355-0008 or e-mail [email protected] for pricing and more info.
Orchid - we created this originally as a custom design for a bride in Singapore. Eunice, our creative director, hand drew the orchid flower using a Pointillist style that captures the subtle shading and monochromatic tones of an orchid. You can see more photos of this design here.
Calla Lily - we created this for a recent issue of Cosmopolitan Bride in England. We hand drew the cala lilies using a calligraphy pen and added a watercolor wash for a bohemian, organic look.
Petra - this invitation was inspired by Moroccan tile and textiles; the colors remind us of Petra in Jordan. The calligraphy is by Michele Papineau.
Deco Rose - this design is inspired by Art Deco motifs - we also created a personalized stationery card in this style.
So gorgeous! We can not thank the gals at Hello!Lucky enough for sharing. Be sure to stop by look at all of their other lovely designs too! Of course we have to end with our personal favorite...
Honey Bee - a new design inspired by honeycomb for a Napa wedding!
I still have that page torn out of the MS Weddings magazine with the escort cards around the tree. I actually based my escort cards off of that exact picture. You can see them here: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/06/27/table-tents-and-escort-cards/

Thanks for the shout-out! We're so thrilled and flattered to hear that we're inspiring folks! As luck would have it, we also just find out about a cake that was based on our French Deco invitation: http://www.hellolucky.com/wordpress/?p=1465 May inspiration continue and make for many, many happy brides!
