We were excited when Janie let us know The Bride's Cafe was getting a little re-design and has some great new features! Not only is her new logo and blog-site beautiful...
...but the site now also includes a wonderful wedding vendor resource guide, appropriately titled "Creme de la Creme". She already has a fabulous list for many states and will be adding categories in the coming weeks too...

We just got a copy of Colin Cowie's latest book on weddings, "Wedding Chic: 1001 ideas for every moment of your celebration" and had to share why we are big fans of this book...
This book is all about the little details of weddings and there are so many of them packed into one book! For example, we love how they take each major wedding planning topic, such as "flowers/floral decor" and then cover the gammet of each topic...showing beautiful pictures and making suggestions for things ranging from color & type of flowers...all the way to what to do for flower girl baskets. No detail was forgotten about in this book and it's always a treat to see what sophistication Colin and his team have created!
Also...if you aren't watching already, don't forget you can catch Colin on Lifetime every week day at 7:30 am EST as the host of the show "get married"...lots of great expert advice and tips on weddings...and a great break from the morning news if we do say so ourselves.

We are excited to share yet another super-talented and wonderfully kind person today that we have worked with and love...Holly Heider Chapple is the owner and floral designer of Holly Heider Chapple Flowers located in beautiful Leesburg, Virginia.
Holly is a top pick in Washingtonian's Bride & Groom Magazine...{and equally impressive to her beautiful work is how she has time to be a wonderful mom to her six children...and one more that will be arriving very soon!!}

Holly recently did the flowers for the main photo shoot in Engaged Magazine which featured former America's Next Top Model runner-up Sara Albert looking gorgeous at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC.
And when Sara got married {for real!} Holly designed her beautiful flowers as well...

It's been awhile since we have featured some of the AMAZING and talented vendors we work with on weddings here in the VA/DC/MD area but today you are lucky enough to get to meet two of them!
To start the day, we wanted to feature the lovely and talented Maria Vicencio. Maria and her husband Drew are a dynamic photography team who do such an amazing job of capturing the sweet moments and details of engagement sessions, weddings and more!
We worked with Maria back in November on a beautiful fall day when she shot the wedding of Leigh & Mike in Old Town Alexandria in Virginia...one of the sweetest couples we have worked with...enjoy...

We are excited for the release of Bride Wars tomorrow...it's cold here in DC and the perfect time to catch this adorable looking wedding chick-flick!
We were excited when our friends over at Christian Oth Studio let us know they were the official wedding photographer for the movie and that their images {including some below} will appear during the movie...so be sure to look out for them in the scene when Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are meeting with their wedding planner, played by Candice Bergen.
We also thought it's been WAYYY too long since we did a {celebrity bridesmaid} post! Since the premise of the movie is about the gals sharing a wedding location and day...we thought it would be fun so we took the two stars and found them in two of our favorite looks...
..and how perfect is this teal + gold Snippet & Ink inspiration board for a wedding inspired by both lovely ladies and their dresses...
